2025 Chevy Silverado 3500HD DRW Exterior Driver Side Front Profile while Towing

2025 Chevy Silverado 3500HD For Sale in Tulsa, OK

If you need the utility, versatility and capability of a pickup truck, and your ordinary trucks just won’t do, you might be in the market for a heavy-duty pickup. For as long as the Silverado nameplate has been around, the 2500HD version of the pickup truck has been tearing up the heavy-duty segment. The main difference between the 1500 and 2500, and why they’re named the way they are, is how much weight they’re capable of hauling around. When they were named the way they are, it’s because the 1500 could haul a half-ton, while the 2500 could haul three-quarters of a ton. While the trucks can certainly hold far more than that these days, the 2500HD is still much more capable than the 1500. You can find plenty of 2025 Chevy Silverado 2500HD models for sale right here at Jim Glover Chevrolet in Tulsa, Oklahoma!

Power & Capabilities

When it comes to the heavy-duty Silverado siblings, the 2500HD and 3500HD are very similar. They’re designed and engineered together, so we don’t want to rehash the same points we’ve already covered on our page dedicated to the Silverado 2500. If you’d like to learn about what’s new for the 2025 model year, head to that page as you can read all about it there and it’s the same for the 3500HD. Instead, we’re going to expound upon the powertrain options that we briefly covered on that page.

Over there we mentioned the two different powertrain options that are available in the Silverado HD lineup, both of which include an Allison 10-speed automatic transmission. The 3500HD also comes standard with the 6.6L V8 engine that runs on gasoline or E85 FlexFuel. In addition to generating up to 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque, we wanted to highlight its capabilities by showcasing its maximum payload and towing capacities. We’ll do the same for the available diesel upgrade, which was the 6.6L Duramax V8 turbo-diesel capable of generating 470 hp and 975 lb-ft. of torque.

6.6L V8 gas engine

When it comes to payload, the most the 2500HD is capable of hauling is 3,689 pounds, which it achieves with the two-wheel drive system, regular cab and gasoline engine. The most the 3500HD can haul in its bed is 7,234 lbs., which it achieves with the two-wheel drive system, dual rear wheels, regular cab and gasoline engine.

For conventional trailering, the 2500HD can get up to 20,000 lbs. with many different crew cab configurations. The most the 3500HD can trailer also happens to be 20,000 lbs., but on even more configurations. When it comes to 5th-wheel or gooseneck trailering though, the 3500HD 2WD DRW Regular Cab with the diesel powertrain is king, offering the nameplate’s highest trailering capacity at 36,000 lbs.

Trim Level Breakdown

When it comes to trim level choices, the suite of available options remains the same as what the Silverado 2500HD offers, though there are some different configuration choices you can make. As we mentioned above, the 3500HD is available with a dual rear wheel, for example. You can read on below for a brief breakdown of the six different trim levels.
