2026 Chevy Blazer EV Charging Times Explained

If you’re considering an electric vehicle, you know that how long it charges is one of the most important questions to answer. Range might be the most asked about, but how long it takes to get that range is just as critical. The 2026 Chevy Blazer EV is a stylish and sophisticated midsize crossover, one of the most popular segments on the market. If you’re shopping in that space, you’ll want its charging times explained to you, which is exactly what we’re here to do today. But first, let’s highlight the SUV’s battery capacity and range.

Battery Capacity & Range

There are two different battery packs available in the 2026 Blazer EV, starting with an 85 kWH pack. This pack comes on FWD and AWD models and it offers an EPA-estimated range of 312 or 283 miles, respectively, with a maximum DC fast-charging rate of 150 kW. The second, found in RWD models and the SS Performance AWD, is a 102 kWh pack with an EPA-estimated range of 334 miles for the RWD or 302 miles for the SS. Both have a max DC fast-charging rate of 190 kW.

Level 1, Level 2, and DC Fast Charging Speeds

Charging times depend on the voltage output of your charger, which are categorized into three distinct levels:

Level 1 Charging (120-Volt Outlet)

The most basic type of charging utilizes a standard 120-volt outlet, which are generally found all over modern homes and garages. Level 1’s power output only goes up to 1.4 kW which translates to approximately 4 miles of range per hour of charge, so it’s not the most ideal choice and should likely only be used in situations where you don’t have any other option. It’s a good back up option, as you can use it with the Dual-Level Charge Cord that comes with your vehicle, so it certainly works in a pinch.

Level 2 Charging (240-Volt Outlet)

The far superior option is to equip your garage with an at-home charger. It’s possible your garage may already have a 240-volt outlet, as these are the same outlets often used for washing machines and dryers, but if you don’t have one you can install a home charging unit. Level 2 charging offers a power output ranging from 7.7 kW with the Dual-Level Charge Cord, or 11.5 kW with the 60A dedicated charge station, which you can purchase separately.

 

This level of charging adds 20-35 miles of range per hour depending on your model, meaning you can get a full charge in 8–10 hours. This makes it the ideal option for overnight charging, generally letting you head to work in the morning on a full charge.

Level 3 DC Public Fast Charging

Lastly, we of course have DC public fast charging as an option, which has a power output of 150 or 190 kW depending on your battery pack, as we already mentioned. This is a great way to get fast charging on the go, extending your highway road trips in a pinch and similar situations. It grants roughly 80 miles of range in 10 minutes, or it can bring you from 10% to 80% capacity in about 30 minutes.
