The automotive industry as a whole is making a big turn towards electrification. Many manufacturers across the globe have set goals for their companies to achieve certain percentages of their lineup being completely electric, and it’s possible that new gas-powered vehicles are the minority within the next decade or so. If you haven’t yet hopped onto the EV bandwagon but are looking for your entry point, you should definitely consider one of the many new electric vehicle models from the Chevrolet brand that we have for sale right here at Jim Glover Chevy in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Keep reading to learn a little bit about each of the new Chevy EVs we have available!
Last year Chevrolet introduced an electrified version of its popular Blazer crossover. It made such a powerful debut that it won the prestigious MotorTrend SUV of the Year award, beating out a sizable crop of both gas-powered and electric SUVs. This year the Blazer EV looks to continue building its legacy with options starting at $44,600, which includes an eight-year, 100,000-mile battery limited warranty.
When shopping for a 2025 Chevy Blazer EV, you’ll be able to choose between two electric propulsion systems as well as two battery packs. As for the former, there’s a regular rear-wheel drive system and a dual-motor all-wheel drive system. The RWD system generates up to 365 horsepower alongside 325 pound-feet of torque and can be driven up to 334 miles, while the AWD system gets 300 hp, 355 lb-ft. and 283 miles. The battery options include both an 85 kWh and a 102 kWh option.
Last year was a busy one for the brand as it also debuted the electrified version of its iconic Equinox crossover. This electrified compact crossover is available with just one ultium propulsion battery option, which is an 85 kWh with up to 150 kW DC fast-charging capability. It does, however, have two different electric propulsion systems to choose from, including a front-wheel drive option that achieves an EPA-estimated 319 miles of range or another Dual-Motor AWD option which can travel up to 285 miles on a full charge.
Remember how we mentioned last year was a busy one? The third electric vehicle that made its debut during the 2024 model year was the Silverado EV. Pickup trucks was one area a lot of people doubted making the switch to all-electric, but Chevy jumped at the task and has already succeeded. Shoppers can get all the benefits they’ve come to expect from the legendary Silverado pickup truck, with some added benefits from its all-electric powertrain. To highlight some of its capabilities, you’ll be able to tow up to 12,500 pounds, and with Wide Open Watts you can get 760 horsepower, 785 pound-feet of torque and accelerate from 0-60 miles per hour in less than 4.5 seconds, all with an electric range of up to 460 miles.
These are the three all-electric vehicles currently in production at Chevrolet. There’s also the Corvette E-Ray, but that’s a plug-in hybrid rather than a true EV. There have also been other EV models produced by the brand, like the Volt and Bolt, but they’re no longer in production. If you have any questions about any of the new electric vehicles we carry, or any of the older EV models the brand has put out if they pop up in our used inventory, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us here at the Jim Glover Chevrolet sales desk, we look forward to hearing from you!
