Introduction of the Trail Boss Trim

The biggest and most exciting change coming to the 2026 Chevy Silverado EV is the addition of its very own Trail Boss trim level. Trail Boss has been an incredibly popular option for the Chevy Silverado 1500 and Chevy Colorado since it was added to the former for the 2019 model year. Now, it comes to the Silverado EV for the first time, allowing you to take your electric pickup off-road more easily. Here are some of the great upgrades that come to the Silverado EV when option for the Trail Boss trim:

Additional Upgrades & Enhancements

Of course, the introduction and addition of the new Trail Boss trim level for the 2026 Chevy Silverado EV isn’t the only exciting upgrade or enhancement coming to the vehicle this year. For example, this year the pickup truck will be available in nine different exterior color options, including three new ones. Here are the available options:

  • Black
  • Summit White
  • Slate Gray Metallic
  • Polar White Tricoat - NEW!
  • Riptide Blue Metallic
  • White Sands - NEW!
  • Blue Smoke Metallic
  • Habanero Orange
  • Magnus Gray Matte Metallic - NEW!

There were also some improvements to a couple of the driver-assistive safety features found in the Silverado EV, namely SuperCruise. The incredible hands-free technology now includes Google Maps integration, which allows the tech to navigate your vehicle to the correct lane for your chosen route as long as you’re on SuperCruise-capable roads. In addition, they’ve added a hands-on mode that keeps your vehicle centered in its lane and adapts to vehicles in front of you even while your hands are on the wheel, then will automatically engage hands-free driving when you hit a SuperCruise-enabled road again.

In addition, Adaptive Cruise Control has also been updated, giving you the ability to set whether or not you want your vehicle to automatically adjust speed to match the posted speed limit. Lastly, Super Cruise with Towing is now available on LT and Trail Boss.
