It’s earned this reputation by continuously being dependable and capable but always evolving. This year it’s evolving with a brand new special edition trim level, which we’ll dive into today along with some other changes that you should know about regarding the 2026 Chevy Silverado.
New Exterior Color Options
In addition to the new special edition, which we’ll get into shortly, the other change for the 2026 model year is the introduction of two brand new exterior color options: Polar White Tricoat and White Sands. This expands the available choices with two great new light options, bringing the full list to:
- White Sands (new)
- Red Hot
- Summit White
- Black
- Sterling Gray Metallic
- Cypress Gray (premium)
- Riptide Blue Metallic (premium)
- Radiant Red Tintcoat (premium)
- Polar White Tricoat (new, premium)
New RST Select Special Edition
The sporty RST trim level has become one of the most popular versions of the iconic pickup truck, and with nine total available it rests firmly in the center of the lineup. But now, shoppers who love the bold and sporty design that the trim level is known for can get even more value without upgrading to a different trim level by selecting the brand-new RST Select Special Edition trim level. This is just the latest in a laundry list of available special edition trims, too, because Chevrolet loves making sure its shoppers have plenty of options to make sure they find the perfect truck for them. Before we dive into what the RST Select brings, here’s a full list of available 2026 Chevy Silverado 1500 special edition trims:
- Stars & Steel Special Edition
- RST Select Edition (new)
- ZR2 Bison Edition
- Redline Edition
- Midnight Edition
- TurboMax Blackout Edition
- Rally Edition
Each of these great special edition trim levels offers something extra for shoppers, enhancing the vehicle’s value by adding unique design cues and extra features. The RST Select Edition will be available on crew cab models with either two- or four-wheel drive, or on double cab models equipped with two-wheel drive. In any case, it will only be available with the 2.7L TurboMax engine.
The colors it will be available in include Black, Summit White, the new White Sands option mentioned above, Sterling Gray Metallic and the premium Riptide Blue Metallic and Radiant Red Tintcoat options. Finally, it will add the following features to what the RST trim level already has to offer:
- 20” high gloss black wheels
- 20” all-terrain tires
- 4” black round assist steps
- Spray-on bedliner
- All-weather front, rear floor liners
