2025 Chevy Traverse Safety Tech: ADAS Features Explained

Published on Sep 25, 2025 by Jim Glover Chevrolet Creative Team

If you’re in the market for a full-size crossover, you might already be considering the 2025 Chevy Traverse. If you weren’t, you should be! This crossover has been on the market for over 15 years now and has established itself as an excellent option in its segment. There is so much to get excited about within the Traverse, including plenty of safety technologies. That’s what we’re going to focus on today, by explaining the various ADAS features that come standard or are available in the 2025 Chevy Traverse.

What Is ADAS?

The first thing we need to explain is, obviously, what exactly ADAS even is. ADAS stands for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, and it’s an umbrella term for the various technologies that have become a staple in modern vehicles. They’re designed to mitigate the risk of accidents, reduce driver fatigue and just make driving an easier experience altogether. They include things like automatic braking or lane-keeping support, and utilize various cameras, sensors and radar systems to monitor your surroundings and ultimately respond to potential hazards, much faster than your human reaction time is capable.

The first thing we want to cover is the suite of standard safety features that comes in every 2025 Chevy Traverse. Almost every major brand on the market these days has such a suite, and for this brand it’s Chevy Safety Assist.
